Free osCommerce Templates
I've spent some time gathering up all the free Templates that I can find from a number of sites. I've also made some myself for you, and I intend to update this site very frequently. I hope this site helps you to decide on the best look for your osCommerce Shop, without having to do much work yourself.
I've used Star Ratings for each Template, these range from 1 to 10, 10 being best - note though that these are based on my own views only!
The Free Templates!
| osCommerce STS Skin and eBook! |
 |

This is a free osCommerce template/skin for the STS Templating System. Free osC Opinion: One of the best free designs that is currently available. The author has also spent time diarising how to build this Template in a 50 page eBook which you need to purchase to get the free template. |

 |
| osCommerce Template Monster Skin |
 |

An on-line shop based on osCommerce and professionally designed by Template Monster. Free osC Opinion: Is a nice looking design, but this is no more than 15 minutes work from a stock install of osCommerce! Disappointing, considering that Template Monster is renowned for high quality designs! |

 |
| Free Skin A |
 |

This is a free osCommerce template/skin. Find a huge collection of Great Web Psd Templates. Popular forms of website templates are PSD (Photoshop) and HTML (web page) formats. PSD Templates are not reusable like HTML Templates. PSD templates are the way to go to get a unique look for you site Free osC Opinion: Standard osCommerce Layout, but using a couple of graphical effects to make the site look much more professional. The author has put quite a lot of work into this Template, but has used *more* nested tables than the standard osCommerce has! Not good at all as we are all trying to get away from tables - not add more! |
 |
 |
| Free Skin B |
 |

This is another free osCommerce template/skin made by the same people as "Free Skin A". Free osC Opinion: Standard layout, along with a simplistic yet professional design. Yet again, the code behind this shop is bloated - if this could be fixed it would be a better template. |

| STS Template - Hosting Theme |
 |

Oscommerce Template using Simple Template System. Free osC Opinion: This template is nice looking, but it's unfinished! There are missing images, missing links. This is hardly "plug-n-play", and has link backs to the authors site (why would "home" go to the authors site and not yours?) It's for STS only, and with a lot of work could be made into a great theme. |
| |
 |
| "Flash" Template |
 |

An STS Template that includes Flash. Free osC Opinion: This template includes a Flash Movie, but I can see it getting on peoples nerves. The template is quite nice, I actually think it would be more interesting and useful without the unnecessary Flash. This one is for STS only... |
| |
 |
| Green Rounded Theme |
 |

This is a very simple centred theme with rounded inforbox corners and a fixed width. Free osC Opinion: As the author says, a simple Layout but made to look professional by the use of a few graphics. |
 |
 |
| Grey Box |
 |

This Skin is a fairly good looking skin made available to you. It is tested on MileStone MS2. Free osC Opinion: Plain, but workable design. |
| |
 |
| STS Template - Christmas Theme |
 |

This is a nice simple christmas template very tidy layout making a nice pro look, it has a simple 2 column left infobox nav menus and right which includes the center box, also a nav in footer and header allowing many options and easy customer navigation. Free osC Opinion: Not particularly Christmassy, but a nice look all the same. Beware that this is for the STS Templating System only! |
| |
 |
| osC Clean |
 |

Free two-column osCommerce skin from 7dana.com with STS 2.01 template system implemented. Use it with a clean install of osCommerce! Free osC Opinion: Quite a plain design, but certainly professional looking. Beware that this is for the STS Templating System only! |

1 to blog up, Scotty. - The most important thing
Today, a got a PM asking me where to find a particular piece of software. I replied that it was the first link on Google when searching for the name of the product.
The most effective people I know do not necessarily know any more than less effective people. It's just that they are good at looking for things.
The most effective skill in any reasonably-detailed project I'v... [ read more ]

Harald Ponce de Leon - Seeking AJAX Talent
Hi Everyone..
With the introduction of AJAX being implemented in the new installation routine and with the positive feedback returned on it, we would like to take this even further and present even more possibilities to store owners and developers by using existing AJAX based libraries instead of writing the needed functionality alone and limiting the possibilities to what has been code... CodeCutter's Blog - Where to find the latest code?

I found following link though http://forums.oscommerce.com/lofiversion/i...hp/t182109.html
Actually I am looking for "coding style and best practise" for some other project I want to do. (I w... [ read more ]

James' Blog - 2008 Camaro? I hope so.
So what can I say? I have a soft spot for the car that GM decided wasn't fit for American roads. After owning three of these great cars, I almost shed a tear when they were gone. It makes sense right? Who wouldn't want to have a great looking SSR instead of a sleek F-Body anyday right? Now they are realzing their mistake, and currently have a retro style F-Body in the works. Last I heard it ... [ read more ]

Quiddity - It always rains
Tis the season to hang Christmas lights in the rain.
Every year (except 2004, a merry year to be sure) it rains when I hang up the Christmas lights. I usually do this around December 15th, give or take a week. And, like clock-work, it rains. [ read more ]

1 to blog up, Scotty. - Aussie Floyd
Several months ago, I helped out a gentleman by the name of Stewart on these forums. I don't remember exactly what the issue was, but when I asked him what the URL to the shop was, he gave me the URL to The Australian Pink Floyd Show, a group of Aussies (who have since moved to the UK) who play Pink Floyd songs.
Stew told me that the TAPFS North America tour dates weren't set yet, but ... [ read more ]

Harald Ponce de Leon - Wax On, Wax Off
It's amazing how much work has been put in the framework that can't be shown on the frontend. Ok, the layout is now CSS/XHTML based, however it still looks like the same MS2 design
There's nothing wrong with the MS2 design actually .. it's just a... [ read more ]

Monika in Germany's Blog - Mantra: I must not be sick, I MUST not be sick!!!
OMG lets just say I WAS sick. Programming is not like working in a reg office, you cannot see the piles on your desk ... unless you turn on your puter. You have mail, and lots too ... like 132 new emails. Lots of phishing, of course, a fair share of viruses, of course, still enough to work through - and we're talking about like 30 hours of not turning the PC on. I felt yucky for a whole week, but ...
